The Link Foundation Maidenhead Relay Marathon: Kidwells Park, Maidenhead

What a fantastic day in Kidwells Park! The third annual Link Foundation relay marathon took place in beautiful sunshine on the 13th of June and was attended by several thousand people. This year the Link Foundation was the Maidenhead carnival charity of choice and were pleased to welcome over 400 runners of very differing abilities to their first fundraising event of the year. 43 teams took part in the challenge, raising nearly £12,000 in sponsorship for the Link Foundation and money is still being donated!!

An new addition to this family event was the children's race, which proved very popular among the youngsters present. Next year this race will be run before the main marathon so all parents can see their children take part.

A very big thank you from the Link Foundation to Purple Patch, the race organisers, Steph James, Maidenhead's town centre manager and all the volunteers who helped the Link Foundation relay marathon run as smoothly as possible.

The Link Foundation Ball: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow

This is the second Link Foundation fundraising ball and once again it will be a fantastic black tie, society party, which will feature delicious food and wine with entertainment by a premier band.
Ladies, get out your slinky frocks and gentleman, brush off your dinner jackets as this party will be as glamorous as it gets!! Some amazing auction prizes have already been donated, so we can guarantee you the opportunity to grab some unusual and special lots.
Tickets are priced at £65, which includes a glass of champagne on arrival and wine with your meal. Tables can seat up to 12, so this would be a great chance for you to get your friends together for a fabulous night out as well as supporting disadvantaged children.

Fireworks and Fun

The Annual “Fireworks and Fun” event will take place at Maidenhead United Football Club on the 6th of November and it promises to be another spectacular!! This is a real family event with something for the adults and kids including children’s rides, hot food, mulled wine and a fully licensed bar. Of course the most important feature is the amazing fireworks, which have left the crowds gasping on previous years.

As the venue has covered terraces, the fireworks event can go ahead whatever the weather! Last year more than 2,000 people attended the fireworks event and raised £8,000 for the charity. We hope to raise the same again this year!
