Help in Schools
The Link Foundation has no political agenda and we aim to help all children and families in disadvantaged circumstances, both locally and overseas, regardless of background, race or religion, when we know that our practical assistance will make a difference to them.
75% of all funding is reserved to help local families in East Berkshire, South Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas; 25% currently is directed into carefully chosen international projects where we know what seems like a modest amount of cash can make huge differences in the lives of children.
The Link Foundation works closely with local schools who help fund raise on our behalf by holding cake stalls, sponsored walks and even mufti days, all to help collect money for The Link Foundation. We also work with schools to help provide children and their families with costs for things such as school uniform and even a donation towards a school trip.
Below are some examples of the local schools that we at The Link Foundation work in close connection with.
How to Apply for Help
If you think the Link Foundation might be able to help, you need to contact one of our strategic partner first. This may be a teacher or a family relationship manager. They are best placed to discuss your own personal circumstances with you in confidence, and they may also be able to direct you to other sources of support. They will also be able to explain the application process and assist you in making your application.
We aim to assess all applications and respond within 4 weeks. We may be able to respond more quickly if urgent assistance is needed. Please see our trustee meeting dates on our events page.
