The Link foundation is a Maidenhead and Marlow based children’s charity committed to improving the lives of children and their families in the local community and surrounding areas.
If you are an Education professional working in a school, we accept applications and aim to help all children and families in disadvantaged circumstances regardless of background, race or religion. We know that our practical assistance can make a difference. Find out more about how we can help your school.
The Link Foundation has no political agenda. We aim to help all children and families in disadvantaged circumstances, both locally and overseas, regardless of background, race or religion. We would be delighted to discuss corporate sponsorship with you further so please call Una Loughrey on 01628 400600.
The Link Foundation has developed strong, highly collaborative relationships with its strategic partners, including healthcare, schools and charitable providers focused on helping disadvantaged children. Our partnerships fall into two key areas:
Local Partners | International Partners
Fund-Raising Event Volunteers
We organise various fund-raising events each year – including the ‘Fireworks and Fun’ event at Maidenhead United Football club, the Maidenhead Relay Marathon, the Link Foundation Ball and other, smaller fund-raising activities.
We need help just before and during our planned events with activities such as putting up posters, setting up stalls, collecting and delivering equipment, contacting suppliers, acting as event stewards, event planning and organisation.
If you’d like to help for a couple of hours – or a whole day – we’d really appreciate it and we’re sure you’d have fun too! The sorts of things we need help with are extremely varied and can be dependent on your skills and preferences.
Throughout each month The Link Foundation receive application forms from referees; these are representatives within the Berkshire area who are happy to act on behalf of local families. They can be Health Visitors, Head Teachers, Social Workers or Healthcare Professionals, or anyone that works within the community and identify a need within a family.
If you think the Link Foundation might be able to help, you need to contact one of our strategic partners first. This may be your local GP, Health Visitor, teacher or one our charity partners.
They are best placed to discuss your own personal circumstances with you in confidence, and they may also be able to direct you to other sources of support. They will also be able to explain the application process and assist you in making your application.
We know that our practical assistance can make a difference in the lives of families with children. To find out more about how we can help your organisation and the children you care for please get in touch.
Join us on facebook and keep up to date on the the fun stuff we get up too. We’d also like to introduce you to our new mascot
The Link Foundation would like everyone to meet our mascot, Linkie the Llama. Soon you will be able to follow him as he helps disadvantaged children and even visits a few memorable places! So keep checking back to see what Linkie is getting up to!
